How to download from Spotify
- Copy a link from Spotify. On a phone, tap the three dots next to a song, album or playlist, then Share and Copy link. On a computer, right-click it and choose Share, then Copy link.
- Paste it above and pick a format. MP3 at 192 kbps is the default; MP3 at 128 or 320 kbps, M4A and WAV are one tap away.
- Save the files. A song starts converting at once. An album or playlist opens as a list: convert all of it or only the songs you want, then save each file or the whole set as one ZIP.
What each kind of link gives you
| Paste | You get |
|---|---|
| A song | One file, named Artist - Title |
| An album | Every track, numbered in album order, up to 100 |
| A playlist | Up to 100 songs, in the playlist’s order |
| An artist page | Not supported: open one of their albums and paste that link |
| A podcast or audiobook | Not supported |

Many Spotify downloaders are desktop programs, phone apps or command-line scripts. spottomp3 is a web page: it runs in the browser on a phone or a computer, with no app, no browser extension and no account. You never sign in to Spotify here; the link is all it reads.
Files save wherever your browser saves downloads. On iPhone that is the Files app, in the Downloads folder.
How each song is matched
Spotify’s own stream is locked to its app, and spottomp3 doesn’t touch it. For each song it reads the title, artists, album and length from the Spotify page, finds a recording of the same song, and accepts it only when the length is within a few seconds and the artist and title agree. Then it converts that recording and writes Spotify’s details into the file.
In a test of 150 songs from six Spotify playlists (October 2026), every match was the right song, 144 were the official release and 145 were within two seconds of Spotify’s length. When nothing matches closely enough, the row says so instead of saving the wrong song.
Speed and limits
A song takes 15 to 30 seconds to find, convert and tag, two at a time. On our server a nine-song album at 320 kbps took two minutes, and two WAV files converting side by side were ready in 12 and 17 seconds (October 2026). A song someone else converted in the last six hours is ready at once.
Each visitor can convert two songs at once and 120 an hour. Songs can be up to 90 minutes long (WAV up to 20), and files are deleted from the server after six hours.
Questions
Is this Spotify downloader free?
Yes. No ads, no pop-ups, no account. Each visitor can convert 120 songs an hour.
Do I need Spotify Premium or a Spotify login?
No. spottomp3 never asks you to sign in to Spotify. It only needs the link, from a free or Premium account, the phone app, the desktop app or the web player.
Which format should I pick?
MP3 at 192 kbps plays on every phone, car stereo and player. M4A keeps the recording’s own audio without a second encode and suits Apple Music. WAV is uncompressed, about 11.5 MB a minute, for editing and DJ software.
Can I download a whole playlist at once?
Yes, up to 100 songs from one link. Choose Convert all, then save the songs one by one or as a single ZIP.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes, in the browser. On iPhone the files go to the Files app, in the Downloads folder.
What may I do with the files?
Keep them for your own use. Only convert music you have the right to keep a copy of, and follow the copyright law where you live. The terms page has the details.
