About spottomp3
spottomp3 turns a Spotify song, album or playlist link into files you keep: MP3, M4A or WAV, each one tagged with the song’s title, artists, album, track number, release date and cover from its Spotify page.
How it finds each song
Spotify’s own stream is locked to its app, and spottomp3 does not touch it. For each song it reads the public Spotify page, searches for a recording of the same song and accepts it only when its length is within a few seconds of Spotify’s and its artist and title agree. It then converts that recording and writes Spotify’s details into the file. When nothing matches closely enough, the page says so.
Measured, not claimed
- 150 songs from six Spotify playlists (Top 50 Global, Top 50 USA, Today’s Top Hits, RapCaviar, Rock Classics, All Out 80s), October 2026: every match was the right song; 144 were the official release; 145 were within two seconds of Spotify’s length, all 150 within four.
- A song takes 15 to 30 seconds to find, convert and tag on our server; a nine-song album at 320 kbps, two songs at a time, took two minutes.
Limits
- Up to 100 songs from one album or playlist link, songs up to 90 minutes, WAV up to 20 minutes.
- Two songs at once and 120 an hour for each visitor, so a single visitor can’t hold up everyone else.
- Podcasts and audiobooks are not supported.
