What we keep
- The links you paste are read by our server to open the song, album or playlist. A list is kept in memory for 15 minutes; a song’s details (title, artists, album, cover address) are kept for 30 days so the next visitor who converts it gets it faster. None of this is linked to you.
- Converted files are kept for 6 hours, then deleted. A file is not linked to who converted it, and anyone who converts the same song in the same format in that time gets the same file.
- Your IP address is held in memory for up to an hour to apply the limits (two songs at once, 120 songs and 120 links an hour). It is not written to disk by the app.
- Server logs record failed requests only (an error status, the address requested, the browser’s user agent and the referring page), without IP addresses, and are deleted after 14 days.
What we don’t do
- No accounts, no cookies, no analytics, no advertising and no trackers on this site.
- Your browser talks only to spottomp3. Covers are fetched by our server and served from our own address, so Spotify and other services never see your visit.
Cloudflare
spottomp3 is served through Cloudflare, which handles every request on our behalf to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Cloudflare’s own handling of that traffic is described in its privacy policy.
